
Carnival CEO Josh Weinstein has been named chair of the Cruise Lines International Association (CLIA), the cruise industry’s main trade group, for a two-year term.
In a statement, Weinstein and CLIA highlighted reducing greenhouse gas emissions as a priority as the sector faces growing scrutiny over its environmental impact.
“The industry will continue to demonstrate its commitment to responsible growth, achieving our greenhouse gas reduction short-term goals and long-term ambitions,” Weinstein said.
