United Flight Attendants Would Get First Raises in Six Years Under New Deal

United Airlines announced Wednesday it reached a new tentative agreement with its flight attendants’ union that would give them their first raises in roughly six years. 

If the agreement is ratified, flight attendants would receive raises immediately and top wage rates that reach $100 an hour by the end of the contract, which would make United flight attendants among the highest paid in the industry. 

Flight attendants would also receive boarding pay, new pay for long gaps between flights, and signing bonuses that are worth a total of $740
