
Air India CEO and Managing Director Campbell Wilson has stepped down, according to multiple media reports citing sources familiar with the matter. Skift had received similar information last month, though it was unable to independently verify those claims at the time.
The board reportedly accepted Wilson’s resignation at a meeting last week. He is expected to remain at the helm through September, or longer until Air India finds a new CEO to replace him.
This brings an end to Wilson’s nearly four-year tenure during which the management had tasked him with turning the once-dilapidated flag carrier into a credible global competitor.
