Delta to Raise Bag Fees as Airlines Pass Cost of Surging Fuel Prices Onto Passengers

Delta Air Lines is the latest carrier to raise baggage fees as the airline industry struggles to keep up with surging fuel prices. 

First and second checked bags will both increase by $10, while fees for a third checked bag will increase by $50 for domestic and select short-haul international flights. The price increases will apply to tickets purchased on or after April 8.
