UAE Hotels Watch and Wait as Ceasefire Promises — But Doesn’t Yet Deliver

Hotel operators across the UAE are adopting a measured, wait-and-see approach following the U.S.’s two-week ceasefire with Iran. 

Five operators told Skift that despite search activity picking up and some modest gains in bookings, they are still holding cost and staffing measures in place.

“While the ceasefire is a very positive and encouraging step, we are taking a measured approach as we assess how the situation evolves over the coming weeks,” Jan Hanak, managing director at Radisson Hotel Group, told Skift. “We are not yet seeing a significant immediate uplift, as travellers remain understandably cautious and are taking a wait-and-see approach.”

Hanak said Radisson has not yet reversed the cost and staffing measures it had implemented during the conflict.
