
Accor has been linking bonuses to whether procurement teams work with suppliers aligned with the company’s climate goals, a move the hotel group says is also helping improve profit margins.
The policy affects those who decide which companies supply everything from food and linens to furniture, toiletries, and technology across Accor’s global portfolio of just under 6,000 hotels.
The group works with more than 5,000 supplier partners worldwide, managed by a team of 260 procurement specialists.
“Since 2024, a percentage of buyers’ bonuses depend on engaging suppliers aligned with our net-zero goals, representing 75% of their procurement volume,” Caroline Tissot, chief procurement officer at Accor, told Skift in a written interview.
