Flyadeal, the budget subsidiary of Saudia, is preparing to add new routes across the Gulf and South Asia as recently opened regional corridors create expansion, CEO Steven Greenway told Skift. 

The low-cost carrier expects to enter markets such as Doha, Bahrain, Abu Dhabi, and India as new aircraft become available.

The airline has been flying to Damascus for the past six months and is hoping to add Aleppo, Syria’s second-largest city, Greenway said. It operates double-daily flights to Baghdad and is in discussions to potentially launch services to Yemen. Flyadeal also added five destinations in Pakistan in the past 12 months.
