Hilton will launch an app inside ChatGPT within weeks, making it set to join rivals Hyatt, Accor, and Wyndham.
CEO Chris Nassetta said on Hilton’s first-quarter earnings call Tuesday that Hilton is working simultaneously with OpenAI, Google AI, and Anthropic, and deliberately avoiding dependence on any single platform.
His argument is simple: any AI travel tool that aims to offer a credible product cannot afford to exclude Hilton, which controls its own rate, inventory, and availability across more than 25% of the U.S.’s “quality” hotel supply.
“Nobody can get it unless we give it to them,” he said.
