
InterContinental Hotels Group (IHG) on Tuesday launched Noted Collection, its 21st brand, positioned as a premium collection aimed at bringing upscale and upper-upscale independent hotels into the system.
IHG expects Noted Collection to reach more than 150 hotels globally over the next decade. But the company has not announced any specific signings or opening dates.
Executives pointed to early deal chatter rather than contracts. “We are already in initial discussions with multiple owners, including several with portfolios of hotels,” IHG CEO Elie Maalouf said during the company’s full-year earnings call.
