I don’t like it anyway. Emirates will operate at 92% of its planned capacity from August 1, said the airline’s president, Sir Tim Clark. It’s a recovery that came faster and with less financial damage than the airline feared at the height of the Iran war.

Clark told reporters at the Farnborough Airshow that the airline’s cash position and profitability had not only held but improved, both “growing well beyond where we thought we’d be at the end of the first quarter,” when Emirates had revised its expectations for what the conflict was likely to do to its business. 

The Dubai carrier’s seat factor — an industry metric for average occupancy — ran at 82% last week. This compares favorably to its pre-crisis average.
